500ml bottle from Co-op at Alex's. Pours a very darl brown with a beige head. Aroma is barrel notes, some light smokyness and fruitiness. Similar taste with some evidence of barrel aging. It is not overly complex but it is pleasant to drink it.

Bottle - Sweet dark chocolate and some wood. Jet black with a small light light brown head. Dark sweet chocolate notes, touch of barrel. Not overly complex, but well done.

12 oz can poured. In the mood for a classic IPA with a good punch of "C" hops, so I found my match. A mostly clean copper golden pour with a patchy fizz head. Thick, sticky lacing. Moderately bitter grassy hops. A slight nutty grain to pair. Good flavor, and quite refreshing. The malt flavor lingers on for quite a while, and it's a pleasant one. Good IPA here.

Draft pour in a flight of triples at Coopers Ale house, for their version of the 2018 Hop Mob event. A clean, clear copper pour. Thin but lasting head. This tastes like some sort of candy. Not over the top sweet (though it is sweet), but definitely candy. I'll call it a candy corn triple IPA. Also has a caramel malt constant, low bitter hop influence. Some butter notes. Never had anything like it before. Interesting for sure.

On tap at Boundary Bay, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, light dankness and biscuity malt. Flavour is incredibly abrasive, with very sweet caramel malts, resinous hop oils, cotton candy and alcohol. Way too sweet and lacking cohesion. This is one of those triple IPAs that just isn't dialed in properly.

On cask at Boundary Bay, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out English hops, metallic notes and stale bread. Flavour is along the same lines, with English hops, metallic notes, and bready malt. Tastes a little better than it smells, but I'm still not convinced. Too metallic and stale tasting.

On tap at Boundary Bay, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out fruity esters, Belgian yeast and candied sugar. Flavour is along the same lines, with a very nice Belgian yeast character, with candied sugar, and a fairly low sweetness. Impressive use of the Belgian yeast. Very good.

On tap at Boundary Bay, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted biscuity malt and subdued bitter hops. Flavour is quite dry, with toasted biscuity malt, cedar and assertively bitter hops. Bone dry, with a cedar-like finish. Okay.

On tap at Boundary Bay, pours a cloudy dark amber orange with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out lots of tart cranberries, light cherries and some lacto. Flavour is loaded with lacto, with lots of tart cranberries, light acidity and very subtle cherries. Dominated by lacto and tart cranberries. Not feeling this.

On tap at McKay's Taphouse, pours a deep dark brown with an amber tinge and a small light brown head. Aroma brings out earthy roasted malt and some dark fruits. Flavour is very fruity, with lots of dark dried fruits, with medium roasted malt and earthiness. A little too earthy and muffled, but it works.
