2004 draught. Great mahogany brown appearance, mostly hazy with some light cherry reds peaking out and a small off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits and chocolate. Lightly salty and hoppy as well. Flavor is a mix of chocolate, sticky toffee, brown sugar and a strange almost beef jerky like saltiness. Ends dry and too watery. The yeast has gone mad and has some very strange notes, or is that stale hops? The roast seems a bit out of place on the light and watery finish. Starts out well but then just falls apart. That happens some times.

A superbly balanced porter that has an interesting interplay of ginseng and coffee with a moderately hopped finish
