12th Dec 2014: one of the twenty two taps in Galopper des Jahres, Hamburg during a tap takeover. This was recommended to me by a guy from Gutersloh who had come over for two days just for the event. He said it was the best IPA produced in Germany at the moment: he was probably right. Misty golden pour with a white top. Good balance of hops , reminded me of a few West Coast (USA) brews, bitter, yet flavoursome. Fruity, with both citrus sourness and sweeter tropical notes. Easy drinking and certainly very un-German in nature (at this time).

Keg at the Euston Tap, 15/12/14. Clear golden amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is malt forward, caramel, melon, bread dough, light citric notes. Taste comprises caramel malt, sweet licks, candyfloss, tangerine, bubblegum, peach. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Not unpleasant but a pretty low end malt driven IPA for me, lacks hops and any wow factor.

Smell of hops, citrus. Hazy, deep amber colour, high white head. Aroma of hops, spruce, orange peel, some earth. Starts out very bitter, evens out a bit to slightly sweet. Oily texture. Flat carbon. Nicely balanced.

Lovely hazy orange gold color with a fine white head. Nice aroma with fresh grapefruit and a bit tropical fruity. Nice body and a fine balance between bitterness and sweetness. Average carbonation. Powerful citric hoppy, mellow fruity and a fine malty back. Lovely ale!

0,33 l bottle (BB 24/6/2014). Really hazy, pale yellow-orange with a thick white, diminishing head. Nice sweetish, fruity IPA-like aroma of passion fruit, mango and some lemon peel. Taste starts slightly sweet with hints of grapefruit and mango. Medium bitter finish. Pleasant. Almost sparkling mouthfeel, a bit watery though. Nice beer. I expected less because of the relatively low rating and the embarrassing bottle but I would drink it again.
