Draught at the brewery. Pale, thin, in color with a fast-fading head. Sweet, malty aroma with butter. Rather light flavor—of malt and hops. Not particularly rich or satisfying but crisp and clean, light and refreshing with just a bit of fruit.

Draught at the brewery. Glowing cloudy yellow color, very bubbly, with a thick, fine, head. Aroma has a decent sour edge to it, lemony, with banana and clove. Medium rich malt flavor. Refreshing, and not too sweet. Tart as well. Well done. Not very special, but good. A bit thin.

Black with a tan head. Chocolate, light roasted malts, vanilla in the aroma. Much the same in the flavor but a hint of soke added as well. Very smooth and easy to drink. One of the better Schwarzbier’s in Japan.
