Bottle @ Fastelavnssmagning, Ulfborg. Pours dark unclear amber with no head. Sweet and sirupy with a heavy sweetness. Some honey, fruit and alcohol.

clear amber, no head. aroma is stingy, spicy, honey, flavor is honey, caramel, loads of booze, spices. bad balanced but taste is sort of okay,

Bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. It pours a flat, clear, copper colored body. Nice nose reminding me of a chill spring night, with honey, heather and other flowers. Sweet, honeyish, heathery flavor, almost syrupy texture. A bit on the warming side. Alcohol, heather and honey in the finish. A nice mead, but a bit too syrupy. Maybe it would work nice as an after dinner drink. (090514)

Bottle. [ Courtesy of Papsoe ]. Clear amber color with virtually none head. Aroma is honey, alcohol, raisin, herbs - spicy like heather. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderae alcoholic. 100908

Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Deep rubyish amber colour, no head. Aroma is earth, spices soy sauce and some mild wooden notes. Flavour is lots of spices, soy sauce, mild honey, some sticky wooden notes. Not that nice.

(Bottled). Ruby red-brown color, no nead. Aroma of Madeira wine. Honey, dark overriped fruits, alcohol, herbs. Very strong alcoholic flavor. Madeira-wineish. Raisins, honey, salt and medicinal herbs in the flavor.

Bottle, 19%. Sweet aroma, hint of wax. Clear dark brown colour. Slightly sweet flavour, some soy, burning alcohol. Raisin aftertaste.

Amber color. Besides the sweet aroma and very sweet (but not syrupy) flavor, there is a light herbal touch, I can’t decide if it’s good or just bearable. Medium alcohol perception at the end. Good.

Dark amber color. The aroma is a bit phenolic. Medium sweet mouthfeel, with some bitter honey and herbs, and too much alcohol. Not right.
