(Draught 20 cl at Weissbräu, Köln) Clear golden color, white head. Very fresh almost citrus like scent. Nice hoppy taste, the way I like it. Perhaps not a traditional kölsch, but it’s great, so I like it. Nice full body and good bitterness that you can feel. It fights with Schreckenskammer for the best kölsch on this trip. (Called "Lecker Kölsch" at the brewery)

Draught @ (Brewpub) Weiss Brau, Köln 06. Dark brown color with good off white head. Roast barley and fruity berries in the aroma. A very sweet swartzbier.

Draught @ (Brewpub) Weiss Brau, Köln 06. Pale golden color with a small diminishing white head. Hoppy aroma with a light sweet malty note. Crispy texture. Initially with a malty fruitiness and a hoppy and dry aftertaste.

(330ml swing top bottle at the brewpub) The unfiltered version of their Kölsch. Hazy yellow colour with a creamy small white head. Malty and fruity (esters of yellow fruits) aroma. Initially fruity malty with a touch of banana and pear and a hoppy aftertaste with medium length.

From the tap @ Brewery Tap Cologne :Fruity, aromatic nose (esters) with some hints of aromatic hoppiness ; bready taste (also cookies) witrh a long hoppy aromatic finish.... Well done !

Wie bei allen Bieren der Brauerei ist auch diese Bier geruchlos. Im Antrunk und Mittelteil süßlich und fruchtig. Sehr mild, der Nachgeschmack fällt zudem sehr leicht aus. Nicht wirklich gut, besser gesagt: schlecht gebrautes Bier. Schmeckt nicht, wie man es von einem guten Bier erwartet. Test vom 6.3.2005, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 8,5,8,6,6,6 - 6,35

Und wie bei den anderen Bieren von Weissbräu: geruchlos. Sehr aromatischer, für Schwarzbier untypischer Antrunk. Der Nachgeschmack dagagen fällt weniger aromatisch aus, es gibt nämlich keinen. Also ein gutes Schwarzbier ist das nicht. Man kann es trinken, es ist auch relativ süffig, dennoch sollte man lieber auf ein anderes Bier ausweichen. Test vom 6.3.2005, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 7,9,9,4,7,7 - 7,15

Das Bier ist, wie auch alle anderen Biere der Brauerei geruchlos. Der Geschmack ist zurückhaltend und mild, ebenso wie der mittellange Abgang. Schmeckt nur sehr leicht hopfig, einwenig muffig. Nicht so der Knaller Test vom 6.3.2005, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 6,7,8,6,7,7 - 6,90
