Description
We are an East Vancouver craft brewery inspired by tradition and creativity, and go beyond the ordinary to celebrate that which is strange* and extraordinary. The beer we make is influenced both by old world traditions and West coast ingenuity as well as by seasonal ingredients. Our barrel programme promises unique aged beers, and we have a bit of a thing for sour beer.

Dark brown color with barely any head. Dry stout with a moderate level of roastiness; it has indeed some lactose flavor in the final, bit it’s much less sweet than a milk stout; clean and balanced; off style, but not bad.

Cloudy blond color with medium head. If the aroma shows a timid spicy character, the flavor is undermined by the lack of body, although it has a light spicy and bready character; but it’s still rather weak.
Not bad, just too simple.

Draft - Sour and acidic fruit, like passion? Cloudy gold with a small white head. Overipe fruit, apricot and some hard candy notes. Not bad.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of banana and clove - pretty aggressive notes. Flavour is aggressive as well, with lots of banana, clove, and wheat. Well-balanced and flavourful. Nothing exciting but it's solidly done.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma brings out bitter cocoa and a touch of lactose - smells like a dry stout. Flavour is quite milky, with lactose upfront, and finishing on a dry bitter cocoa note. Not very dynamic or complex, and has a somewhat astringency on the finish. Meh - it's okay.

Cloudy golden color with no head. Aroma of cider vinegar. Lean mouthfeel, dry, weak; light malt flavor, not bad; moderate acidity; but the yeast is too evident, strong wheat bread component, doughy. A bit woody in the final.
Not totally bad, but once more it’s an unrefined, clumsy beer.

Cloudy amber color with small head. I get dust smell, yeast, cabbage. Fairly dry, with poor malt profile, overwhelmed anyway by a lot of vegetable feelings, yeast byproducts, and leading into a metallic finish. The base beer is not good, the adjuncts just make it worse.
Not good.
