Description
We are an East Vancouver craft brewery inspired by tradition and creativity, and go beyond the ordinary to celebrate that which is strange* and extraordinary. The beer we make is influenced both by old world traditions and West coast ingenuity as well as by seasonal ingredients. Our barrel programme promises unique aged beers, and we have a bit of a thing for sour beer.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out roasted malt and piney hops in good balance without being too overburdening. Flavour is rather weak for the style, with vegetal notes, earthy hops and medium roast. Not the most exquisite black IPA by a long shot, but at least there's nothing offensive here. Needs work.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours black with a small tan head and a reddish tinge. Aroma brings out notes of licorice, some vegetal notes and bubblegum. Flavour is bizarre, with notes of dental floss, bubblegum and licorice. Thick palate, with a dental clinic finish. Man, this is rather bad / offensive. Not good at all.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is typical for a brown ale, with notes of toasted malts, slight roast, and dry cocoa. Flavour brings out notes of toasted malt throughout, with some earthy notes and a touch of roast. Pretty ordinary brown ale, doing nothing to stand apart from the rest. Acceptable.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours an absolutely filthy opaque shit orange with no head. Aroma brings out coriander upfront, along with Belgian yeast, and clove. Flavour is rather confused, with notes of clove and coriander, and dirty yeast. Something is a bit wrong here for the beer to look like that and the flavour is rather jumbled. Needs refining.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a cloudy golden with a tiny head. Aroma brings out tropical fruity hops from the mosaic - amazingly fruity. Flavour is unfortunately not as pleasant or robust, with muted tropical fruits and dry biscuity malt. The whole thing feels rather obscured, with nothing much going on. Meh.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite dry and hoppy for a lager, with dry crackery notes. Flavour tastes rather English in the hop department, with notes of crackery malt and light spicy dryness. Not the most interesting beer, but it's drinkable.
