Can. Gold with a white head. Rich aroma with bread and grain, spices, hints of barrel. And so it tastes - a tad more bitterness and complexity than their normal pilsner. Very nicely balanced with the bitterness being accentuated by a little drying oak that also adds to the peppery hops. Very good.

Can. Very pale clear gold with an inch of white head. Gentle, somewhat austere citrus and cracker aroma. Citrus flavours fill out a bit in the taste with lime as well as grapefruit, but it's pretty dry - which also makes the modest bitterness sufficient. A good dustcutter.

Can. Clear deep amber with an inch of pale beige head. Aroma of over-ripe dark fruit, spiced bread, caramel, orange peel, pine. And then a bit lighter on the palate than that suggests, with more citrus and spices and less sweet fruit & caramel. Spicy finish with moderate bitterness. Doesn't quite overcome the cut through and balance challenges I find presented by both wet hop and hoppy amber beers.

750ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark and caramel malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, couverture, dark caramel, hints of dark toffee, some coffee, a touch of Bourbon, very light smoky, ashy overtones. Taste is bitter roasty, chocolately, dark malty, sweet-ish caramel malty, slightly vinous fruity, bitter hoppy counterpart, notes of toffee, dark caramel, Kahlúa, dark chocolate, some Bourbon, a touch of alcohol soaked, dried fruit, a minimally warming, alcoholic touch; mocha finish. Viscous texture, smooth, soft and silky, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Clean, harmonious and balanced, not overly complex - respectable.

Missed this first time around. Can, 9% ABV. Just unclear amber with a white head that fades to a cm or so and is soon thereafter less than a coat. Aroma of pine, citrus and tropical sherbet, grapefruit, light bread. Fairly sweet and clean with a sherbety lightness of palate, citrus and pine that swap prominence, then a finish that gradually seems more bitter as a little booze creeps in and dries things out at the end. Can't seem to quite decide whether it wants to be majestic or feisty, but good.

Pours a deep golden orange with small to medium head. The nose is distinctly citrussy and tart. The taste is very lemony, puckering and tart, with just enough sweetness to provide some balance though it could use a touch more for my taste. Finishes medium sour. The mouthfeel is slick, the carbonation softish. Solid enough but just not quite my type of thing.

Can. Deep gold with a large white head. Smells Czech: bready with a bit of crust, floral and spicy hops. This is not a complaint. Clean, perhaps a little lighter on the malt side of things than suggested by the aroma but it's bready enough before quite spicy bitterness. Not what I understand to be the supposed sub-style but I don't care a whit.

Canned 9/21. Somewhat hazy orange, a few chunks, cm of white head. 3- Muted aroma of mandarin, pine, pineapple. Indistinct palate is dull with vague sweetness and hop aromatics struggling to come through. Nagging bitterness. Hasn't travelled?
