Dark amber colour, with no head. On the nose it's got a fair bit of alcohol, lots of caramel and toffee malt elements. On the palate, it's fairly soft, with a bit of toffee and a bit of smoke. It's not bad - nothing special going on, but it's okay.

330mL bottle, pours a murky dark mahogany with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out lots of dried figs, toffee, and caramel. Flavour is a little tart, with caramelized banana, dried figs, tart berries, and sticky caramel. Tart and caramely, with that banana showing up on the finish. Certainly an interesting one.

On tap at Good Luck Beerhouse, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Nose is full of bright citrusy hops and a crisp biscuity malt base. Flavour is bright and citrusy, with a nice vibrant hoppiness and a crisp biscuity base. Citrusy and bright. Really well-made.

On tap at Temple Cellars, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light. stone fruits and a touch of grass. Flavour is along the same lines, with stone fruits and biscuity malt. Not a whole lot going on here, but it's solid enough.

Tap at Heart of Darkness, Singapore. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty, light caramel, toffee, red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate to light sweet, with a smooth, rich, oily, fruity, light banana palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Not what I would call a classic Barley Wine, but big, fruity, boozy and if it wasn’t for the ABV, very sessionable!

Tap at BeerFest Asia, X Edition. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is grainy malt, light floral citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light crisp, fresh, malty dry light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap at BeerFest Asia, X Edition. Poured a slightly hazy light golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is Pilsner malt, light citrus fruit hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a crisp, fresh malt, light citrus, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. This is actually rather good. It’s crisp and refreshing with enough going on to make it interesting and drinkable over a session. Rivals some of the better Czech pilsners.

Tap at the Freehouse, Singapore. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is dough biscuit malt, citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate sour with a crisp, light, slightly watery, light tart citrus fruit palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.
