Tap at the brewpub. Golden orange color, cloudy. The nose is like frozen fruit salad. Tropical and citrus fruits. Medium sweetness, actually quite dry for the style, which is wonderful after so many super sweet W-IPAs. Great fruit flavors and quite a bit of booze. Big and juicy. It is a few months old, and seems to have mellowed very nicely.

Tap at the brewpub. Dark gold color. Lovely nose of tropical fruit and citrus. Rounded fruit salad flavor, biscuits. Comes off a bit too sweet, but the huge, juicy fruitiness of the hops is awesome.

Tap at the brewpub. Dark reddish brown, cloudy, with a fine, low head. Nice fruity hop nose, chocolate, cherry, orange, fudge. A touch roasty and quite bitter, dark chocolate and fruits. A bit too bitter in the finish, but nice.

Tap at the brewpub. Watermelon or salmon pink, cloudy, with a fine, low cidery head. Nose is hibiscus, pink grapefruit, lemon. Nice balance, biscuity malt, tangy hibiscus and grapefruit. Crisp and clean. I don’t like hibiscus, but this was a good beer.

Tap at the brewpub. Great nose of yuzu, orange, grapefruit, tropical fruit. Pastel yellow color. Cloudy. Big yuzu flavor with tropical fruits. This is good, but lately I just can’t take yuzu in beers. The purple sky without the fruit is better.

Tap at the brewpub. Spicy, lemony nose, great hops, biscuity malt. Crisp and good. A bit more in the American mold than European, but not too sweet and yeast character is restrained.

On tap at Y Market’s 1st Anniversary event. They ran out but Makoto swapped out a keg especially for me to get a taste- what a great guy!It is a dark black with a beige head. The medium body gives off a mild hoppy nose. It is a decent black IPA too bad someone bumped into me & spilled it all over my shirt!

Yurameki session red 4.9% On tap at Y Market’s 1st Anniversary. It pours a ruddy muddy reddish brown. Soft fruity pine with earthy biscuity notes in the bouquet. The taste is bitter pine needles & earthy biscuity malts. If you want a hopped up red ale this is for you.

La mosaique on tap at Y Market’s 1st Anniversary event. This dry-hopped saison pours a gorgeous light cloudy hold with a dense white head. Served too cold initially the nose is soft wheat, light funk with hints of fruitiness. Vibrant & light bodied it goes down smooth. The taste is a solid saison that is exactly what I want from the style. Wheaty light malts, a dash of spice, a twist of funk maybe a hint of brett metallic character and a dry finish. A beautiful saison, they nailed it.
