Tap. Black with a low head. Nose is caramel, chocolate, very creamy. Sweet and only lightly roasted, mostly chocolate and caramel flavor with lactose and oat creaminess. Bit of hop bitterness in the finish. Light and easy drinking for the summer.

Medium gold with a medium head. Malty, bready nose, spicy yeast, lemon. The flavor is quite malty and bready, maybe a bit too heavy in that way, with good yeast character and nice lemony, peppery hops. The Styrian Goldings come though nicely.

Hazy gold with a low head. Lovely nose of white grapes, lemon, light grapefruit, lactic acid. Nicely tart, with the NS hops blending magnificently with the lactic acid from the kettle souring. A bit simple overall, but shows off the hops nicely, and a very good level of souring, beyond what most brewers try in their first attempt. Like it a lot.

light golden color. Slightly hazy with little head. Modestly sour nose that shows apple juice, honey and mangoes with a touch of bandaid. Light body, much more tart than expected. Medium carbonation with apple juice and honey. Good but doesn’t have amazing depth.

Clear medium amber color. Japanese must be very scared of this beer. Why? I’ve never smelt a beer in japan that smells more like a bag of fresh weed in my entire life. Wow. Might get high just sniffing this. Some citrus and apricot notes sit in the background. Wow. Very crisp fruity, citrusy palate that is missing a touch of bitterness (the alpha hops could be cranked up ever so slightly), but wonderful easy drinking, balanced APA with medium bitterness. Could be a 4.0 but still takes a respectable Number

Medium light golden color. Slightly hazy. Frothy white head. Extraordinarily dry hoppy nose with slight floral nose and modest Belgian yeast character. Lightly body, almost creamy mouth feel with modestly aggressive bitterness, dry, nice yeastiness, hay. Really well balanced, super quaffable. One of the best saisons in japan, outside of Kyoto brewing. I had side by side with TY Harbor Ma Saison which is pretty damn good but this was fantastic. For a new brewery someone knows what they are doing. Never heard of Nara brewing, but will be telling my friends to be on the lookout for these guys
