Tap at Bankan. Nice looking deep brown to black with a creamy latte looking finger of foam. Cacao, roasted french press coffee, with some vanilla and Bailey’s that comes out as it warms. Body feels weak but it is a summer Imperial Stout. Light creaminess in there. Bitter, roasty coffee finish with some milk chocolate somewhere mid-palate. --- Beer merged from original tick of #096 Mashi Mashi no Kuro '16 Spring Extreme Coffee Version on 17 Jul 2016 at 17:20 - Score: 7. Original review text: Cacao and roasted French press coffee nose. Light creamines. Too much roast on the finish. Nice enough. Light bodied.

Poured from the tap at Bungalow. Cloudy orangey brown with off white head. Mild pine and citrus hops. Flavours are good, but it needs to be ramped up - quite subdued and a little watery.

Poured from the tap at Bungalow. Very mild haze copper with off-white head. Grapefruit and pine hops with oily sweetness. Mild-light body. Has the hop kick without the full body punch to back it up.

Poured from the tap at Pub Karr (Kyoto). Clear golden yellow with minimal white head. Mild tropical hops, slight skunk, seems a little strong for a session, but tasty nonetheless.

On tap at Bungalow. Ushi-Tora #99 Skyrocket Session IPA 55 IBU 5.6% An insanely clear gold with a filmy white head and a decent citrus & crackery malts. Kind of high ABV for a session ipa, I’d say it’s more of a pale ale. Green bitter pine flavor with some malt sweetness and very mild fruit notes in the aftertaste.

Tap at Bungalow. Black with a low head. Big, dessert-like nose of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, coconut. Sweet and heavy, lots of flavors but they clash with each other a big. High alcohol and a bit boozy. Interesting, but needs some polishing and better integration.
