On tap at CBB. Super cloudy pale gold with a filmy eggshell white gold. Super resinous dank piney hop bouquet. Medium bodied with a raspy mouthfeel. The taste is chewy wheat and earthy dank piney summit. Pretty good & great for hop lovers.

Tap at Komachi. I guess the first one turned out too strong, so they toned it down. Hazy pastel gold with a low head. Nose of lemon, wheat, bready, crackers. Tangy, lemony flavor, bread, lots of wheat. Crisp, but somewhat high carbonation. Decent but a bit thin, and the first one was way, way better.

Tap at Bungalow. Orange-bronze, hazy, with a low, fine head. Very grassy dry hop nose, biscuits, light pine. Grassy and herbal flavors, good bitterness, prickly finish. Rather full body. Decent, but a bit too grassy.

On tap at CBM Koenji. Pours a golden yellow with a nice soapy head. Lemon, grass, corriander, white grapefruit and grain on the nose. Taste is more of the same with the grass and lemon standing out as it warms up. There is a arugula peppery quality to this as well. Quite dry on the palate with a hint of sweetness but overall a bitter if not astringent IPA. I don’t mean this in a bad way, but it tastes like a COEDO IPA, but not as good as the Paradoxical IPA from last year. It’s not bad, just not that interesting. --- Beer merged from original tick of Uetake #016: Futsuuuuuno IPA on 22 Aug 2015 at 22:37 - Score: 6

On tap at Watering Hole. Part of a tasting flight. Hazy brown amber color with a nice egg-shell colored foamy head that leaves good lacing. Nice floral hops on the nose with some lemongrass, citrus and chocolate and caramel malt aromas present as well. Fairly well balanced with a creamy mouthfeel. Medium to full body which is pretty amazing for 3.8% ABV. Bittter on the palate with a hint of arugula and mustard greens. Fairly bitter finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Rye Pale Ale (3 To Go) on 11 May 2015 at 00:20 - Score: 7

On tap at Qbrick’s 10th Anniversary Event. A yeasty chocolate malt and possibly rye nose with a mild tangy fruity edge to it. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation. The taste is bitter pine & citrus hoppiness with tangy caramel chocolate biscuity malts. Actually pretty good but my beer was a horrible looking murky muddy mess, possibly the end of the keg?

Tap at Q-Brick. Pale gold, hazy, with lace. Pineapple and cracker nose. Weak and thin, pineapple flavor but not much going on. Not enough pineapple, nothing of anything else.

New version of this, different recipe. Hazy golden-orange, medium, fiine head. Super grassy and herbal dry hop nose, orange, peach, pine resin. Light malt. Light carckery malt flavor with very grassy hops, resins. Crisp bitterness. The dry hopping is a bit overdone, but not bad. not as good as the first version, though.

Tap at Bungalow. Nose of tropical fruit and citrus, oranges, mango. Cloudy deep orange color with a fine, thick head. Flavors of resiny pine, caramel, bread, biscuit, orange peel. A bit confused and dirty tasting. Spritzy carbonation.

On tap at Yellow Ape, I am guessing this inspired by the popular Japanese beer cocktail "pine (apple) beer". A slightly opaque gold with a thin white head of foam that leaves lacing that coats the rim of the glass. The nose is yeasty pineapple that evokes those Taiwanese pineapple cakes. Light to thin bodied with a sharp raspy carbonation that digs into your tongue. The flavor is a very yeasty pineapple that ends in a disjointed tangy fruitiness. Not as good as most Ushitora beers but passable.
