Tap at the Ushi-Tora tap takeover at CBM Koenji. Fairly clear golden color with a great soft soapy white head. Classic saison yeast aromas with some spice, white pepper and lemon zest. Taste is similar. Thin body and watery mouthfeel with almost zero carbonation. 50% of the reason I enjoy a good saison is missing. On tap at Ushi-Tora. Dark brown with a tiny tan head. Roasted malt aromas are strong with some light coffee and coriander notes as well. Taste is more of the same with the roasted malt flavor really standing out, also some light cacao and spicy hop notes on the palate. Roasty and bitter finish. On tap at Ushi-Tora. Clear amber with a small off-white head. Nice tropical fruit aromas with good piney resin flavors as well. Taste is very well-balanced. Tap at Bankan. Hazy gold with a nice white head. Malt aromas with some light tropical fruit and grassy notes. Taste is more of the same. Very well-balanced. Very pale golden color. Sharp nose with tons of grape character. The mouth is very sharp with acidity, fairly low hops and lots of grape character. Very drinkable

Dear Citra Ushitora 4% This is an insanely pale gold that looks champagne like with a decent head of foam. Are these guys trying to save money with all these ultra-thin bodied low ABV beers? It has a nice fruity citra hop bouquet. Actually the body on this one seems fuller than the 3.8% beer I had from them recently. The taste isnβt as solid as the aroma but it is still fairly satisfying: wheat crackers and hops. Pretty solid.

Draft at Ushitora. Collaboration beer with Minoh. Hazy orange copper color with a small white head. Funky nose showing plum, peach, shiso and clove with some yogurt. Nice tartness on the palate with a rush of plum and peach that comes out. Finish is lightly sweet with a lingering tartness and a touch of salt. This is probably my favorite Ushitora beer at this point. Perfect summer beer and seems like they pushed this into Berliner Weisse territory. Draft at Ushitora. Hazy straw with a tiny white head. Peach, lemon, and light tropical fruit on the nose with some bread. Taste is more of the same with some light graininess on the palate. Fruit really stands out with a hint of yogurt in there as well. Tap at Ushitora. Pale straw color with a small white head. All citra on the nose with some light cracker. The taste really lives up to the nose with this one. Wonderful example of citra with just enough malt to keep it interesting. Nice bitter finish with some light pepper.
