On tap at Dig Bar. 11 to go is a cloudy light gold pour with a grassy hoppy nose. Definitely a lactic tart hose inspired beer. A fantastic wheaty nose, tart lactic goodness and an easy drinking nice beer. Med-light bodied that it is tart & refreshing. The taste is very tart and fruity with lots of wheaty citrus & nice tart fruity flavor. Delicious stuff.

Draft at Baird Nakameguro Taproom. Pours lightly hazy, foamy top that leaves nice lacing when it comes down. Aroma has some smoked bacon, little bit of wet grains. This is however, only a small hint of the taste what is coming after the first sip. This beer has a lot of smokiness that attacks you full on at first and then hop bitterness takes over, leaving some salty smoked bacon lingering in your mouth. Low alcohol, full of flavour, very well made. Totally satisfying - and a slow drinker, not for chugging down.

hazy golden color. Lightly smoked nose that is slightly tart. Comes off more Rauch and not much Kolsch in the nose. Soft hoppy mouth, minerally, earthy that screams Kolsch with light waves of smoke tumbling across the tongue. Light body, but much heavier than 3.8% with amazing depth. Really smooth. Light bitter finish with smoke a distant afterthought. Really really well executed and stylistically challenging to pin down. Fantastic. call me a big fan and want to see more beers made like this. The more I drink the more I fuckin love this idiosyncratic beer.

Small draft pour at Ant N Bee, thanks to TimE for recommending this! Clear yellow with off-white head. Aromas of light smoke, citrus fruit. Tastes of subtle smoke and nice bright citrus, maybe a little malt. Medium body with a dry finish. Refreshing and delicious.

Not sure if Session IPA is the right style as this is listed as a Session Pale Ale(though aren’t all APA’s supposed to be sessionable?). 12 to Go is a 4.5% Session Pale Ale that is darker than 13 to Go with a clearer gold body yet a similar dense fluffy head. It has the fantastic citrus bursting out of the glass aroma I remember from Luc Bim LaFontaine’s Yorocco collaboration beers. A truly wonderful juicy hop bouquet. A scratchy carbonation with a smooth mouthfeel. This is really easy drinking stuff with a light body, mild pine & fruity hops and a crisp finish that leads to lingering hoppiness which gives you some dankness, fruits, pine, earthy. Not as complex as 13 to Go this is easier to wrap your head around & more approachable. Simply a splendidly put together Session Pale Ale perfect for everyday drinking.

On tap at Kamikaze. 13 to Go is a 3.8% Rauch/Kolsch hybrid. With such genre bending stuff whoever takes over after Luc Bim LaFontaine will need to work hard to be inventive! A cloudy light gold with a fluffy eggshell white head of foam. Served a bit too cold to first the aroma was muted once it warmed up you got a nice bready smoked aroma if that makes sense which brings to mind a nice smoked cheese. Then again that might be due to my having some earlier this morning! The taste is a bit wheaty, smoke with a tangy fruity finish. The carbonation was a bit abrasive at first but as you drink it smooths out & gives you a satisfying mouthfeel. An intriguing beer that’s pretty easy sipping. Keep ’em coming!

Finally tracked this down at enibru. It pours a milky gold with a wonderful nose: a bit sweet, fruity, grassy & hoppy. Medium bodied with quite a sharp carbonation. The flavors is really clean, some crackery light malts, a good dose of fruits, nice green bitter hops and a lingering bitter finish. Well balanced and easy to drink - good stuff, I’d just say the appearance isn’t dialed in yet as I’d like it to be clearer, it looks somewhat witbier like at the moment.

On tap at Eni-bru a slightly clearer gold than 15 to Go but still a bit opaque. A cloudy straw gold with a hoppy west coast bouquet. Med to full bodied with a fairly round carbonation. The taste is exceptionally well balanced, quite a bitter hop kick giving you fruits, pine, plums, maybe some wheat & light malts? This is scarily drinkable I can see pounding this back on a summer day. Wonderfully crisp and hoppy.
