Be Easy Tsugaru Nuri 11% English Barleywine Deep plum reddish brown with dense beige foam that leaves a wisp of foam behind. Great big bold malty aroma featuring plum and figs. Sweet and boozy. Malty dark caramel flavor with notes of dried tobacco. Brown sugar taffy in the finish with herbal notes. Sweet with some warmth. Good stuff, very smooth.

I quite dig this typographic label. Be Easy Aomori Fresh Hop 2022 Hazy IPA 6.5% Getting a tall glass of golden haze with white foam surprised me. Juicy aroma, tropical mango and sweet citrus. Medium bodied and smooth with just a touch of raspy carbonation. This one really wasn’t what I expected, it tastes like one of the better hazies I’ve had in Japan but it’s a fresh hop beer.

Be Easy Amami 7.3% Coffee Vanilla Milk Stout Deep cola black with a tan head and sweet coffee latte aroma. The taste gives you that vanilla but it almost has a nutty peanut butter coffee thing going on. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Tasty stuff.

Tap at Komachi. Very hazy deep golden color. Creamy nose, lemon, coconut, the Sabro comes out big. Sweet lemony flavor with lots of Sabro--thought it was Sorachi. Tasty stuff.

Deep cola black with a rusty tan head and a sweet vanilla (extract?) aroma. Medium bodied, this is a roasty beer but with sweet vanilla and an Oreos hit up front that then segways into roasty dark bitter chocolate. Pretty nice, I dig the bitter 90% cacao notes in the finish.

Tap at Craft House. Orange amber, rather pale for a Vienna, clear. Huge hops in the nose, citrus, American seeming hops, decent maltiness. Big hop flavor, not much amber malt, more like an American IPL but nice.
