Tap at Komachi. Deep gold with orange, light haze, and a low, fine head. Dry, fruity nose, grapefruit, yuzu, and light, crackery malt. Dry and crisp flavor, oranges, crackers, hides the booze very well but is a bit too dry for me.

Original review text: Bottle from Yamaoka. 2010 version. Pitch black with a tall, bubbly tan head. Roasty, creamy aroma, with wood, a bit of dried fruit. Sweet flavor, creamy and rich, with bittersweet chocolate and café au lait, but not overly sweet and well balanced by woody, roasted malts. There is also a slightly tangy, sour edge. Strong bitter finish clears the palate up nicely. This is rich, smooth, and tasty, with good balance. Nice stuff.

Tap at Boku to Inu's Beer Zen launch Event. A fairly clear and deep shiny gold with a fruity (stone fruit) hop bouquet. Fullish bodied, nice balanced stuff that went down smooth.

Tap at Bakujun. Decent enough citrus nose. Served at the right temperature for sure but rather flat. Would like more carbonation to bring out the hops better. A rather boring one for this series, lemony, orange hops.

Tap at Takumi. Clear golden orange with a low, thick head. Orange, pine, biscuit, white grape and nectarine nose. Great fruity flavor, light resin, rich malt. Soft and full with light carbonations. Old school, but not really. Great.

330ml bottle from bottle shop in Tokyo. Crisp, herbal hoppy and grassy pale ale with some lingering bitterness and citrusy notes. Okay.

From backlog. Draught @ Ant n Bee, Tokyo. Pours clear golden orange with a smooth head. Aroma of fruity hops, tropical notes, pine, grass and resin. Taste is crisp, hoppy and slightly fruity with some tropical notes, pine and resin. Finish is crisp, hoppy and grassy with some pine and resin. Okay.

Dark brown with squint beige foam, still leaving nice brownish lacings. Nose lightly lactic, still some roast there, black berries and milk chocolate. Tastes more substantial than its low abv would suggest, roast and some dry bitter chocolate. Overall, quite drinkable, not sure how much I like that lactic character but overall definitely on the satisfying beers side.

Tap at CBM Sendai. Deep amber-orange with a light haze and a low, lacy head. Nice juicy hop nose, funky, citrus, more Mosaic than Nelson. Funky Mosaic comes out first in the flavor, then grapefruit, orange, tropical fruit and a touch of grapes. Nice.
