Tap at Komachi. Cloudy orange-gold, thick head. Estery-like nose (hops), peaches, oranges, biscuits. Citrus and peach, orange, seems sweet but finishes dry. Nice fruit. Dry and light.

Japan backlog. Tap multiple times. Pours a deep brown to black with a tiny head. Dark chocolate and citrus on the nose. The chocolate comes out as it warms. More of the same on the palate. dark brown color. Tons of chocolate malt and citra hop in the nose. Light body, tons of chocolate malt and tons of citra. Just like it describes. Super strange but perfectly well executed for what it is. The brewer knows what he is doing but why did he do it?

Draft - Toast and fruity hops. Deep maroon with a beige head. Light toast, very dry and some fruit hops. Finish has coffee and cocoa. So weird, but I love it.

Compared with other KiOnis I’ve had recently this didn’t blow me away. Malt backbone was there but didn’t shine. Hops were nice and tangy and citrusy but didn’t shine. This beer wasn’t served too cold, but oddly as the beer warmed it showed more character but at that point the beer was a bit too warm for the style. Enjoyed it but not particularly memorable

pale golden amber big massively juicy citrusy nose with some pale malt. Very hop forward, light body but enough to support, good bitterness. Excellent citrusy hop character. Modest bitterness. Excellent

Tap at Gremlin for Au Revoir Tokyo. Big juicy mosaic nose with dank aromas, papaya and guava with some light herbal character. Second keg was popping more in the nose. Creamy mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Easy drinking and a solid, dank take on mosaic. Good stuff!

Tap at Gremlin 2nd anniversary. Big simcoe forward nose with tons of citrus and passion fruit. Lots of fruit notes on the palate. Bright and juicy. Light bitterness on the finish.
