Tap at Gremlin 2nd anniversary event. Lots of orange and grapefruit in the nose. More weed and heady aromas as it warms. Starts off a little too bitter on the palate but as it warms up it gets super heady with lower bitterness. Tap at Takumiya. Dark golden orange with lace. Hazy. Tropical fruit nose, alight dankness, peaches. Crisp and dry. A bit too dry, but nice use of the hops. Crackers. Peppery finish.

Y Market x Oni Densetsu I.Pa King Imperial IPA 9.3% 88 IBU on tap at Bungalow’s 4th Anniversary. My first impression was kind of tainted due to a large group of asshole smokers walking up as soon as I got me brew. A clear copper orange pour with a filmy head and juicy aroma of tropical fruits and prickly pear. Medium to full bodied with a velvety smooth mouthfeel. A touch boozy but the taste gives you notes of woodsy pine, herbal hops, juicy tropical fruits and candied malts .Really nice but not quite as good as I’d heard but that could be down to the smoke and BBQ sauce aroma kind of impacting my imbibing experience. It was good but I was expecting more based on hype.

Tap at Bungalow. Glowing golden orange, clear, with low lace. Nice hoppy nose, dry, crisp grass and citrus fruits, grapefruit mostly. Crisp hoppy flavor with restrained sweetness. A bit boozy but not at all syrupy. Very nice and convincing DIPA.

Tap at Gremlin. Clear gold with a half finger of foam that dissipates fairly quickly. Lots of dank weed, grass and pineapple hops with a touch of stinky cat piss. Very dank. Golden, clear not much foam. Sweet tropical fruit nose, papaya, mango and passion fruit. Taste is superbly balanced, fruity and full of tropical flavours. Juicy and probably also hoppy although the bitterness is well hidden. Along with alcohol, dangerously high drinkability. Super fragrant and fresh, I really need to get a full pint of this. Probably one of the best beers in Japan today.

Tap at Watering Hole. Big and bold Mosaic notes with tropical fruit, pineapple and papaya coming on strong. The Sorachi takes a slight backseat with some light dill notes. Slightly creamy on the palate with more tropical notes..durian. Bitterness hidden so well.
