Tap at Watering Hole Noboribetsu Setsubun tap-takeover. Watermelon-colored rose pink with a small light pink head that lingers. Raspberry all over the nose with some earthiness. Light body but balanced with some malt. Average carbonation. Lightly tart finish with big raspberry flavors. Very nice fruit beer.

This is underrated. Sorry, it is.

Tap at Mania in Ebisu. Herbal hop nose with some lemongrass and grass and twigs. Average carbonation with a medium to medium light body. Good pithy bitterness with more grassy herbal notes on the palate. Bitter but not overly so. Tap at Tsuki To Taiyo. Gold with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Light tropical fruit aromas but as it warms up more pineapple, mango and passion fruit come out. Average carbonation with a medium body. Finishes lightly bitter with good fruitiness.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a light reddish brown with a small half-finger head. Malt forward nose with some caramel and fruity esters. Light body with light carbonation. Some light yeast-like pepper on the finish. Pretty boring and one-dimensional amber that drinks like malty water. Tap at Komachi. Great orange / grapefruit nose, juicy, dry. Medium gold, hazy, low hed, effervescent. Great use if Citra, very fruity, almost tart. Dry, crackery malt, crisp body. Very good.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Shared at a tasting. Pours a hazy pinkish-red with a small half-finger of soapy, white foam. Basil aromas on the nose with some wheat and tomato. Nice Belgian yeast undertones as well. Nose is very saison yeast-like. Light body, with above average carbonation. Sweet on the palate with that Belgian character throughout. Tap at Bungalow. Nice citrus nose, grapefruit and orange, light biscuit malt. Deep orange-amber with lace. Taste of grapefruit, a bit of cat piss, some orange candy. Light and dry, crisp, grackery, good. Solid bitterness.

Oni densetsu Kin Oni Pale Ale - Southern Cross & Liberty version 5% On tap at Molto with my pasta lunch set. The hop bouquet is citrus with mild woodsy pine notes. A zesty carbonation on a med-light body. The taste is earthy-sweet with a bitter bite of citrus and woodsiness. Alright.
