Devil Craft Coconut Craze Imperial Stout 12% Deep inky black with no foam but small flecks of coconut floating on its oily surface. Toasted coconut, marshmallow and savory dark chocolate in the nose. Very full bodied and silky smooth with a touch of heat in the finish. The taste is viscous dark savory cacao syrup then a luxurious coconut hit and a hot finish of boozy dark malts featuring dark chocolate. Really nice.

Devil Craft Midnight Sun Brunch Version Imperial Stout 12% Deep black with a wisp of rusty foam and a big roasty sweet coffee aroma. Full bodied and silky smooth. The taste is coffee and reminds me of Mikkeller’s Beer Geek Breakfast Stout. This is a very worthy domestic alternative. Top Knotch.

Bottle shipped from Titans. Clear, bright gold with a tall, fine head. Rich honey malt nose with lots of stone fruit, peach, also orange and tropical notes. Crisp, lovely fruit flavor. A bit salty, rich fruits, a bit dank. Crisp body, not heavy. Nice one.

Rainy in Kyoto so I’m polishing off my Devil Craft set. Devil Craft Black Igneous Oatmeal Stout 6.5% Deep cola black with a tan head and soft roasty cacao aroma. Fairly full bodied and it’s got a velvety smooth mouthfeel. I’ve soy savory and roasty cacao flavor on a lush smooth base. An exemplary oatmeal stout.

Devil Craft Devil’s Death Match (lager ver.) West Coast IPL 7.5% Mlively gold color with dense foam and a bright pine needles and citrus hop bouquet. Medium bodied, crisp and clean. This really hits the spot with its woodsy bitterness.

I heard this was a good one: Devil Craft Patriot Crush 5.5% Very pale straw gold with a dense head of foam, medium in body with a smooth mouthfeel which at 5.5% is pretty impressive. I’m digging the flavor which has pineapple and fuzzy peach elements that I’ve rarely seen in a beer. Yum.

Devil Craft Darkshine Schwartzbier 5% One of my least favorite styles but damn if this isn’t on point! Cola brown with a thick fluffy beige head that lasts for ages. It’s got a soft cacao aroma. The medium body is velvety smooth with soft cacao and light nutty roast notes. Very good example of what the style can be, served at 15C.
