Bottle at Craft Rock and Grill, the Fort Entertainment Complex. Poured a clear straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, pear, stone fruits. The flavour is light sweet, light bitter with a watery, light fruit, light tart light hop palate. Light bodied with average to soft carbonation. Didn’t really know what to make of this. Very light and with some fruity notes. Served cool. Refreshing and drinkable.

Fresh bottle straight from the Philippines, received as a gift from the brewer himself - thanks Evan! Modern wheat ale with moussy, tightly lacing, egg-white, stable head and misty yellow straw blonde robe with warm peachy hue. Aroma of ripe peach, raw pineapple flesh, lime zest, green pear, white bread, melon, some baker's yeast, freshly cut grass and green tree leaves. Mildly fruity onset, some pear, melon and pineapple notes, restrained in sweetness with a soft sourish edge; softish carbonation, fluffy, bit creamy body. Bready maltiness with basic wheat sourish edges, leading to a 'green', mildly aromatic finish reminiscent of lime peel, fresh thyme, green melon and grass, a hoppiness which establishes a gently spicy, drying and softly bitter effect on the root of the tongue. Quite typical modern Anglo-Saxon style wheat ale (as it is classified here), as the hop character is neither very bitter, nor exuberantly aromatic and the wheat gets full exposure - but there is a kind of 'fresh green herb leaf' quality to it somewhere which sets it a bit apart and which I can certainly appreciate. Easygoing, accessible and modern quencher - enjoyable especially seen the context, up until I first met Evan last year, I had no idea that even the Philippines now have entered the first, modest stage of the global craft beer movement. I'd love to try more from this micro brewery!
