Can. Clear amber with a modest white cap. Brooding tropical fruit (just ripe mango, guava) aroma with bread crust, some citrus wood. Moderately sweet with the bready malt not really contributing much. Tropical fruit, grape jelly and a woody, resinous and somewhat herbal bitter end. Interesting.

A very enjoyable hazy with a point of difference. There's a big whack of caramel, plus some citrus, watermelon and vanilla. In the mouth, the hops are old school grapefruit. When mixed with the caramel flavour it's not necessarily a match made in heaven, but it's enjoyable nonetheless.

Can. Bronze with a large off white head. Lots of pepperberry (I suppose that's a mixture of pepper, fly spray, juniper and citrus) mostly obscures strong bread underneath. Medium bodied. Again lots of pepperberry upon a swig. But underneath, a clean malty beer with a decisive bitterness that sweeps in at the end. The pepperberry really works at the end but is just a little much beforehand. This is one that would work well with Christmas dinner.

An enjoyable and unique red IPA. The notes of honey and biscuit mix with nuts, freshly cut grass and lemongrass to give it a compelling aroma. The palate is a little watery. Starts strong, fades a little.

A really delightful double IPA starts with aromas of honey, pine needles, tangerine, green apple and apricot. The mouthfeel is creamy, and while the hops are challenging, there's still a strong element of those more subtle flavours coming through late. It hides its alcohol well, and is nicely balanced. Would definitely go again.

Can. Clear deep brown with a beige head that's soon less than a coat but returns as an island in a la Trappe glass. 3- Aroma of breadcrust, dough, medicinal woody spices. Upon a taste the very bitter spiced wormwood waits a while until it kicks in, so the doughy and caramelised flavours have their chance. Dry and very bitter at the end. Amaro-like. I dunno. I quite enjoyed it but this 375ml can would be better shared amongst four - and for me that's a problem.
