(Can) Clear pale gold with short-lived white head. Subtle but pleasant aroma - citrus and floral. Light bodied and fizzy. Taste is horrible - thin watery slightly citrus, slightly cardboard. Bad.

Bottle. Fairly dark brown with a beige head. Smells of slightly fake chocolate and coconut: just like a lamington. But is that good? Very sweet with chocolate, coconut, some slight metallic notes. No particular finish. Just too sweet for me.

Bottle. Dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma as advertised: mocha with plenty of vanilla, a little grass too. Medium bodied. Sweet and a little iced chocolate syrupy, some light roast, vanilla, coffee. But there’s enough bitterness and a punch of pepper along with some grass to stop it from being a confection. Solid beer.

Taster at GABS Sydney 2015. A bit sour for my liking and not a lot of wheatyness. But it does have a umami edge to it which keeps you interested. It’s OK but it’s not great.

(Bottle) Clear deep mahogany brown with thin short-lived off-white head. Unusual, interesting and pleasant aroma - toasted nuts and coconut, chocolate, hints of toffee and slight vegetable / seaweed notes. Light body, fizzy coarse carbonation. Rather odd taste - toasted coconut is dominant at the start and through into the mid palate. However a rather harsh metallic, maybe stewed black coffee, bitterness develops as the coconut fades, continuing into a really quite unpleasant finish. As long as you take another sip as the coconut fades, it’s fine! There’s some toffee notes underlying these flavours. Overall, it’s unusual, inventive, worth trying, but not right.

Pours gold with a white head.Nose shows passion fruit and lychee, little else.More fruit as flavours at first before transferring to a somewhat unpleasant macro-like grainy, cardboard-ish character.

Bottle. Amber with a fading white head. Aroma of caramel and bread, kumquats and grapefruit. Quite light bodied and this makes the sweet malt quite welcome. Moderate citrus and earthy notes, dryish with fairly low bitterness. A refreshing low key quaffer.

Bottle. Amber with an inch of off white head that lasts well. Aroma of mandarins, pine, crusty bread, lychees. Creamy texture, moderate carbonation. Sweet with bread, a little caramel, tropical fruit, mandarins, a little pine. Moderate bitterness could bite a little more for me and would were the finish a little drier. Not all that hop driven, but a pleasant and fairly complex beer.

(Can) Slightly hazy golden with loose short-lived white head. Pleasant aroma - citrus with yeasty and grassy hints. Medium body and reasonable carbonation. Taste starts with some malty, almost sugary, sweetness well balanced with some fruity (citrus, hints of banana) tang. This mellows on the mid palate to a light malty sweetness and then some rather harsh bitterness kicks in in the finish. Overall it’s rather odd in terms of style, but generally works well, although the bitterness is rather too harsh.
