Pours copper with a large head.Nose shows soft floral hops, resinous notes, spicy and bready rye along with a little tropical fruit.Aggressively hoppy flavours focussing on pine and a sharp, aggressive and almost metallic bitterness. Some spicy rye but very little malt sweetness to balance things out.Carbonation is pretty crazily high.

Pours hazy copper with a large head.Nose shows heavy marris otter sweet bready notes with a faint spicy hit in amongst it. Very English.More sweet bready malt as as flavour. Again, there’s some soft spicy hops/juniper but little else.Carbonation is much too high.

This one’s a little like a siren, luring you in with a sweet, easy aroma of honey, resin, pine needles and nice, dry rye hops. Then, before you know it, you’ve been smashed on the rocks of a hop and rye beast, but what a way to die. There’s a good deal of roasted malt in the finish as well.

The peat malt gives this the flavor of a single malt scotch. There are plenty hops too, as you?d expect to find in a good pale ale, and they make this a surprisingly refreshing drink. Best posted malt beer I’ve had. Very enjoyable

From a 330ml bottle on 10/5/2013. Pours a deep dark amber with a biggish head. Has an impressive aroma of toffee, caramel, rye bread and molasses. Flavour wise, it’s very malty and quite sweet, with the same features of the aroma present in the taste. The bitterness is modest, the body relatively full, and the carbonation medium. A rather good, quite meaty amber ale with lots of character.
