Tasting at Black Metal West
Black colour; huge frothy head. Coffee aroma, and the gas/fumes from the extra fermentation. Very dry, sharp, metallic, with some earthy coffee, and light infection.

330ml bottle at Erik's. Pours a murky copper with a beige head. Aroma is not very pleasant with some herbal and coffee notes. Similar taste. Meh.

Hazy, amber-brown colour. Thin head, that foams up and then dies down. Nutty aroma, with a touch of chocolate. Thin, definitely nutty, good balance but too thin and just needs more sugars to balance it out. But the fermentation is still ongoing, so that's why it gets a little thin.

Keg at Tap Craft Beer Bar, Singapore. Hazy dark brown, small creamy head. Lemony nose with some coffee. Sour with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Full blown lemony infection, some coffee and caramel. Low bitterness.

(On tap) Lovely looking beer - black with big dense tan head. Aroma is coffee. Medium body with plentiful mouth-filling carbonation. Coffee dominates the flavour from start to finish. The finish is very much coffee and is nice. There's some nutty notes and toffee roast malt in the mid-palate. (On tap). Pours dark brown with red highlights with good white head that disappears rather quickly. Nice aroma of nuts, toast, roast malt. Medium body with good carbonation. Good taste and surprising. The aroma leads you to expect something in the stout / porter area, but the foretaste is much more the tangy IPA. The dark malt toffee notes quickly appear and continue on to blend with the good hoppy bitterness in the finish. Very nice ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
