Cask gravity at Duke of Wellington, Norwich. It pours clear amber with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is fresh pine, juicy, stewed orange, tinned fruits, sweat and varnish. The taste is bitter, pine needles, varnish, orange peel, grapefruit, floral, rather soapy and quite a lot of astringency with a lingering bitter - dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. I like aspects of this beer, but find it pretty rough around the edges. Fair.

Cask at the Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is citrus hop, light yeast, light creamy caramel. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a tropical fruit, spicy, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering fruity bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
