650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of amburana, cinnamon, wood, graham cracker, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of sharp oaky wood, amburana, nuts, booze and bitter roasted malts. The amburana may be a bit too strong. A bigger sweeter malt base would have done it well...

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Lighthouse blond ipa, can Dark blond colour, slightly haze, medium head. Nice aroma of bready malt, candied fruit, and a hint of tropical fruit. The malt base is modern-ish, but well present, it's bready, with some toffee and honey; the hop is less vibrant than in the aroma, it renders mostly bitterness, with just a bit of orange peel. Good, mostly modern, but the hops could be brighter.

Blonde colour. Thick head. The aroma is more to the cheesier side of older hops. The palate is the same. The pale malt base is okay, biscuity. The beer's date is either June 7th or July 6th...stupid Canada not being consistent...but to be frank it comes across a few months older than either of those.

Poured from the tap. Clear blonde with small white head. Fairly clean, simple hay, mild grass hops. I feel like this is leaning more toward a German pils than a Czech pils. Okay.
