New Belgian blonde created in the 50 l installation of a home brewer, but commercially executed at Danny and available in a few pubs in the area - in other words, yet another home brewer with professional ambitions that are limited to simple, traditional and regional. I am not convinced this modest project deserves brewery status here either - just one beer that they do not even brew themselves?... Very thick, towering high, frothy, tightly lacing, egg-white head, misty straw blonde robe with greenish hue. Aroma of white bread, banana, soapy coriander, dried flowers, old citrus peel, plaster, wet white paper, raw cauliflower somewhere. Crisp, fruity onset, green apple, unripe peach, some banana but not over the top, vague sourish hint providing some balance, very sharp and numbing (over)carbonation, thinly bready and cereally middle, bit soapy especially as the coriander comes in (though subtly so for this style), ending mildly floral and 'rooty' hop bitter, a bit raw and 'green' but quenching enough. Works fine for what it intends to be, no huge brewing errors here, perfectly clean and straightforward - though overcarbonated even for this top-fermenting alternative to pale lager and, as expected, nothing particularly exciting at all.
