Description
Some people say we make the best craft beer in Saigon, Vietnam. Enter the Darkness and decide for yourself...
Heart of Darkness is all about duality. Good and evil. Sane and insane. Big, bold, crafted brews that will challenge the way you think about beer. Thirst quenching, session beers that will have you bouncing off the walls. Hop bombs that will give you a kick-to-the-teeth, while still being still balanced and smashable. Whatever your taste, we’ve got it….
Our family, the “Dark Army” is an eclectic mix of weirdos from all walks of life. So… we’ve handcrafted a bunch of beers to pair with our varying passions - from frisbee golf to music festivals, from overindulgent eating with good friends to surfing and hiking…
It's a craft beer journey into unchartered territory... #enterthedarkness

Tap at Heart of Darkness, Singapore. Poured a hazy light golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light citrus fruits, yeasty medicinal. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a light, crisp, light citrus, dry medicinal hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not great. Didn’t get any coconut and hardly any citrus. Big medicinal background which leads me to believe this beer is mildly infected. Shame really as it sounded awesome from the commercial description.

Draft at Smith Street Taps, Singapore. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a mostly lasting thin white head. The aroma is grainy malt, yeasty, light banana. The flavour is light acidic citrus, with a light, crisp, slightly watery, yeasty, banana, light clove spice palate. Medium to light bodied with average to soft carbonation. Hits the mark in the Asian humidity, but somewhat light and watery. Not sure this beer would go down so well outside of Asia.

Seems inspired by the Kurtz's Insane Ipa, similar flavours and aroma. Piney, grassy.

Cotts 2019. Standard for the style... at first wasn't sure why I wrote no noted and then realised why... 8 had nothing to add. Sweet Pilsener.
