On tap at Standing Bar, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of oily piney hops, resinous notes and sweet caramel malts. Flavour is rather sweet, with overmalted sweet caramel malts and resinous hops. A little too sweet but it works.

On tap at Heart of Darkness, pours black with a medium light brown head. Aroma is heavy, with roasted malt, spirits, oak and light spiciness. Flavour is intense, with rich roasted malt, spirits, light oak, vanilla, some light spices and fairly high sweetness on the finish. Wouldn't have thought all the weird stuff in here would work harmoniously, but it's done pretty well.

On tap at Heart of Darkness, pours a cloudy plaque orange with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out lots of resinous hops and dominant caramel malt. Flavour is very malty, with lots of heavy caramel malt, followed by resinous hops, and a little perfume. Intense, bordering on abrasive. Again, too malty for a IIPA, but it's solid.

On tap at Heart of Darkness, pours a clear copper amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is quite malty, with caramel bready malt and resinous hops. Flavour is almost more English-like, with lots of caramel bready malt, resinous hops, some toffee and a touch of an English character. A bit too malty for my liking, but this is well-made.

On tap at Heart of Darkness, pours a hazy golden with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out caramel malt sweetness, piney and resinous hops, and bready notes. Flavour is cloyingly sweet, with lots of caramel malt, candied sugar and subdued resinous hops. Way too sweet and sugary. You gotta dial back the malt and sweetness. Not so good.

Flavour is over-malted, with plenty of caramel bready malt, subdued resinous hops and medium sweetness on the finish. Too malty and not enough hop flavour. It's alright, but these malty IPAs aren't my favourite.

On tap at Heart of Darkness, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out lots of medium roast coffee, light roast and some subdued piney hops buried in there. Flavour is well-balanced between the roast, coffee and piney hops. Nice interplay between the different elements. Very well-made.

On tap at Heart of Darkness, pours a hazy dark copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings toasted chestnuts, candied brown sugar and Belgian yeast. Flavour is surprisingly authentic, with Belgian yeast, brown sugar, light esters and toffee. Not totally true to style, but pretty darn close. Impressive stuff. Good stuff.

On tap at Heart of Darkness, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out oats and dry toasted malt, no hint of the chili. Flavour is much more apparent on the spices, with plenty of chili, medium toasted malt and some oats. Nice chili kick to this. Smooth cocoa-y finish. Very nice.

On tap at Heart of Darkness, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out biscuity malt, a touch of grass and decent crispness. Flavour is fairly crisp, with dry biscuity malt, a little grass and some herbal notes. Clean and well-made. Solid.
