Description
SingleCut Beersmiths was founded by Queens/NYC born, music-obsessed brewer Rich Buceta, whose life-long passions led to a place where hops and vinyl could shine side by side. After years of homebrewing and professional stints around NYC, Rich was true to his dream, diving headfirst into the brewing world. “My obsession is creating original hop-driven beer; distinguished by a firm respect and admiration for West Coast pioneers, and bending that to our East Coast / NYC interpretation.” Since opening in 2012, and with the help of an equally talented and devoted team, SingleCut has gained a loyal following throughout the East-Coast’s most respected markets. With his steadfast determination for the perfect pint, Rich penned "Mastery Knows No Shortcut" as the SingleCut mission statement. “It boils down to always demanding greatness, never compromising, and always play it at maximum volume.”

US Pint can. Drank in the afternoon sun on my patio during a rather heavy session on 31st May 2021. Poured (twice) into my old thistle shaped glass, it looked lovely. Black bodied, tan coloured head. Smooth and slick with a milky coffee/chocolate nose and taste.

US Pint can at home on 31st May 2021. Poured a cloudy yellow with a snow white crown on top, some sediment pieces also rushed out the can and could be seen floating around in the glass. Citrus nose and flavour, grapefruit being the biggest player in both the aroma and taste. Some sweetness in the mix too.

Murky orange with a large foamy white head that left good lacing. Bitter with strong grapefruit followed by hints of pineapple and almost apple. Long finish. Moderately full bodied

Was nice upfront but settles down to an awfully buttery finish.

Draught at BGH: pours hazy yellow with white head. Aroma is nice tropical heavily hopped soup whatever topped with green onion. Taste is tangy tropical fruitiness. Moderate bitterness in the finish, along with bright sweet notes that do not overpower the tang.

Tall can courtesy of Sophies Beer Store. Cheers Mat for this! Pours pitch black, foamy tan head. Aroma speaks a nutty chocolate tongue. Medium bodied with a lovely blend of chocolate, vanilla and lactose, excellent cohesion with a balanced sweetness. Very good.
