Black pour with a medium foamy tan head that recedes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Full-bodied with a roasty coffee and malt character, with some bittersweet chocolate and earthy hops in the background. The finish is roasty with a mocha aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Can: Cloudy, yellow-orange with a small, off-white head. Lactic wheat malt, banana, orange aroma. Taste is milky, banana, wheat malt, lemon.... OK.....but a strange sourness to it.....Sweet, but not a good balance with the tanginess.

Can (courtesy of Weihenweizen). Sour milk, lemon, clove, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet banana, clove, wheat malt, and moderately bitter herbal hay/sour milk flavor. Nice body. Okay - a fair hefeweizen.

Nice big pounder can. Presentation is clear pale with a rocky foam head. Nice fresh beery smell. Taste is perhaps a little more bitter than I expected for a golden blond. However, it is somewhat refreshing in its own way. Perhaps I get a little bit of odd gasoline in there, must be my f’d up taste buds from my cold. Bitterness does tend to build during the session. Finish has a few ill ale attributes. Overall alky surely seems to be much higher than 4.5%.

This brew is a clear pale golden color with a medium white head that diminishes gradually. Short strings of lace. Bready malt, grassy hops and fruit in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of biscuit malt, mild hops and a bit of fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hop aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
