Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is cocoa, wood, bourbon, vanilla. Slick body, vanilla, spice, wood, boozy finish, very good.

Almost perfectly golden coloured body with a thinnish, pure white head that stays afloat on the top ever so thinly, but quite nice. Aroma of very crisp malt notes with a little hint of rice and sugars along with some subtle bready and yeast components and a mellow touch of lemons. Light-bodied; Very crisp malt profile at first with a decidedly lager yeast bite that shows some bitterness, along with a light sweetness from caster sugar. Aftertaste shows some mellow hops with a German taste and a note of the rice and subtle malts, but this goes down very easily and smoothly with some nice and mild flavours. Overall, a pretty nice beer overall, considering the style, this is mild in terms of the malt and especially the yeast, but some sugars and the lager yeast make some nice tastes that serve this beer nicely. A good option in the heat of summer in Virginia. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Sperryville Corner Store in Sperryville, Virginia for US$2,49, a few minutes before heading into Shenendoah National Park on 15-May-202, sampled while getting my cabin ready with my kids, while at Big Meadows, in the park, on 15-May-2021.

Charred oak nose, not strong. Cola black, thin tan head. Brown sugar, smoke, charred oak. Medium body, easy carbonation. Double points for the label and the story behind it. Big ups!
