Description
Trapezium Brewing Co. takes its name from the iconic Trapezium House, just a few blocks to the west of our tap room and 30 barrel production facility. The historic building is a quirky three-story structure built with no right angles, and through the years all sort of stories and superstitions have been assigned to it. We see it as a metaphor — it’s a quirky building in a quirky town, where doing things differently usually gets the best results. Trapezium Brewing distributes it four core beers — White Ale, IPA, Session IPA, and our unique Lemon Honey Ginger — from Fredericksburg to the NC border, and from Charlottesville to the coast, and of course at our taproom in Old Town Petersburg, VA.

Bottle from Growlers to Go, Richmond. Pours hazy golden amber with an inch of beige head. Very light aroma of grapefruit, tangerine, and light floral notes. Flavor is thin: grapefruit, watered down pineapple juice, some cardboard. Just not a huge fan of the session IPAs since the flavor is so often just sucked right out.

Tap. Pours hazy orange, medium creamy beige head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Aroma is light with notes of lemon and grapefruit. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter, lemon zest, grapefruit, honey. I would not get finger without reading it first, but there is a bit of spiciness on the finish. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Kind of a zesty lingering bitterness that really has staying power and gets a bit distracting.
