Made With Intention

Fine Creek Brewing is a small, family-owned farmhouse brewery in rural Powhatan County, established in May of 2017. Everything we do and every decision we make is done with intention and careful consideration.

We intentionally set out to create a limited production brewery in a setting with open space, fresh air and a sense of place. We find ourselves rotating our beers quickly, avoiding flagships, and changing our food menu every single weekend not because its the easy thing to do but because we’re passionate about our craft.

We cook the food we love to eat and brew the beers we love to drink. We support local farms and producers from fruit growers to grain farmers, from vegetable growers to malt producers. We believe beer is best enjoyed in the place its created in the presence of family, friends, and neighbors.

We would love the opportunity to share our passions with you, right here in Powhatan, Virginia.

Draft at Dominion Wine & Beer's upstairs bar. Poured a clear dark yellow color with a small off-white head. Aroma was some light green pepper notes, coffee. Not overly bitter. Mild chocolate notes, very light toasted notes. Creamy, with some coffee character.

Draft pour at Dominion Wine & Beer. Poured a dark, clear straw color with a small white head. Aroma was banana, cloves. Flavor was similar, banana and clove are heavy on this one. Light herbal notes.

4 oz pour on draft at Dominion Wine & Beer. Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of banana, clove, herbs. Tastes of banana, clove, citrus, herbs. Light body with a dry finish.

2018 vintage corked bomber picked up at the brewery for $20. Perhaps a little expensive, but the place impressed me so I had to leave with one of their barrel aged bombers. Had they been cheaper, I would have left with a couple more. Anyway... Pours deep brown to black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted coffee beans, barrel. Flavor is sweet vanilla, chocolate, molasses, barrel, alcohol, coconut. Lightly carbonated. Smooth. Very nice.

Tap at the brewery. Pours reddish with a dusting of a head. Aroma is light coffee beans, light smoke, grasses. Flavor is tart red fruit, smoked peat, strawberry, grass, brown leaf. Lots of flavor and again, it’s all good.
