Ok, here we go. Inky black, clumpy brown head. Huge peanut and cocoa nose. Huge. Yuuuuge even. Molasses, malt. Flavor is the same. Peanut is more ballpark then butter, cocoa, licorice, molasses. If you love these flavors then you'll love this. Its a bit under nuanced. Sticky, full bodied finish.

This looks like carrot juice with a ring of white head. Lotta grapefruit. Fresh cut oranges too. Straw and grass. Flavor has a ton of seltzer notes. Lime and grapefruit. Orange. Tangerine here too. This is well balanced. Its fruit and citrus forward but I was sure I wouldn't like this and I did.

Half pour at the brewery is a murky garnet with a ring of brown head. Nose has malt and dried fruits, light spice, some grain. Flavor amps the dried fruit up more, cherry and some cough syrup now. A little rye lurking. Chewy malts. Nice. A touch sweet and drinks a bit bigger than 6% but well made nonetheless.

The batch I am having is just 9.5%. Dark cola brown/black. A little Grey head and light legs. Coffee jumps right out, as does the cocoa and malt. Some booze. Dried dark berries. Flavor has some grape must behind all the dark stuff: coffee, cocoa, molasses. Boozy, off dry and long on the finish.

Pint of sunset haze at the brewery. Lacey white head. Nose is very approachable and inviting. Stone fruits, sweet herbs and flowers. Flavors all follow, canned peaches, dried grass and dried herbs, some oat here. Medium bodied, good bite, just off dry. Very nice house beer.

Tap at mad mex. Mild floral hops nose. First taste is astringent sharp yet a flowering taste in the background. Not as down and dirty as most palate wrecking mouth coating IPA but is still is quite nasty in the middle. Decent co2 distracts me a little from the bitter bite. Bitterness build to the finish.
