The batch I am having is just 9.5%. Dark cola brown/black. A little Grey head and light legs. Coffee jumps right out, as does the cocoa and malt. Some booze. Dried dark berries. Flavor has some grape must behind all the dark stuff: coffee, cocoa, molasses. Boozy, off dry and long on the finish.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was roasty and woody with strong brewed coffee. The flavor was strong brewed coffee, cream, roasty malts, cocoa and molasses. Long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth. Alcohol well controlled.

P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Loved the label, love the styles, and appreciated the previous two reviews. Unfortunately, this didn't quite meet expectations. Not even remotely sweet to help cut through the dry roasted bitter malt. Decent but not as awe inspiring as I hoped.
