Description
The founder of this brewery is Louis Klaassens, owner of Café De Klep. From the very beginning, Louis's ambition was to open a "high-profile and successful city brewery" in Venlo. Initially, it was called Stadsbrouwerij Klaassens, which in 2018 became Stadsbrouwerij De Klep, and in 2022, Brouwerij De Klep.

Until 2022, the beers were primarily brewed at Brouwerij De Fontein. Initially, this was around 300 liters per batch, but in 2018, it increased to 1000 liters per batch.

On June 1, 2022, a dedicated brewing system was put into operation, and the brewery was established in the MOUT food hall in Venlo: the dream of having our own brewery was finally realized!

The brewery was closed in May 2026.
