Bier naar voorbeeld van de betere Trappisten Tripels. Fruitig, Droog en Bitter. Ooit het eerste bier in deze reeks. Omdat Louis van Tripels houdt.

(Draft at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 27 Feb 2026) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity, spicy nose with mixed fruit, herbs and coriander. Malty, fruity taste with notes of marzipan, white bread, mixed fruit, candy sugar, coriander and a gentle herbal bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Smooth and refreshing. Nice one.

Very thick & dense, just yellowish head, fed by lively carbonated darker golden, clear beer. Bit earthy smell, bulbs, walnuts, and a little bit of oxydation. Sweet, with even sticky feeling, despite the good carbonation. Almondy, frangipane. Finish has some dry, almost oxydized grains. Medium bodied, bit dense texture for a tripel. OK, it's a triepel. Not one I'm getting happy over. Txs to Stef!

On tap at ’De Klep’. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, off-white head. Slightly sweetish, moderately yeasty-spicy, slightly floral aroma of hay, lemon peel, honey and some clove. Rather sweet, malty, moderately yeasty-spicy and slightly floral taste of caramel, honey, vanilla, clove and hints of lemon peel, followed by a short, moderately bitter, yeasty-spicy and minimally metallic finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a hazy golden with tiny floating impurities and a dense white head. Yeasty, phenollic aroma. A rich, malty body, a little low in carbonation. Has a sweet fruitiness, but again the yeast and phenols overpowers turning this somewhat chemical. 261215
