Nutty toffee malt and fresh hay aroma. Hazy dark amber with moderate tan head. Mildly sweet nutty toffee malt, and midly bitter fresh hay and grass flavor. Good body.

2 week old pint can A: Somewhat murky looking dark brown with negligible tan head. S: Toasty bread, roast nuts, dried leaves and green herbs. T: Caramel and chocolate cake sweetness with leafy and herbal hop notes providing some balance. Ends nutty and toasty. M: Low level of prickly carbonation, medium body and sweet but fairly clean finish. O: Nice brown but nothing to blow your socks off.

3 week old pint can A: Poured hard to only a very small fast falling head, leaving little to no lacing over the pale clear amber body. S: Grassy herbal scent with faint toast and caramel. T: Follows the nose but with more pronounced toast and caramel, and a bit less grass and herbs. Nicely balanced with a light hint of apple near the end. M: Low but stiff carbonation, medium light body and clean finish. O: Low sweetness helps IMO but still fairly average overall.

11 day old pint can A: Murky orange brown with little head or lace. S: A little fresh orange citrus with caramel, faint pine and herbs. T: Pine and bitter orange pith hit and linger into dry, zesty citrus and toasty malts. M: Drinks a bit heavier than it is. Average carbonation and yes, a dryish finish. O: Hoppy amber indeed. Could be a red IPA or at least English Pale. Very good.

2 month old pint can A: Hazy medium gold with a short, thick, lasting puck of foam. S: Peach, mango, generic citrus and other light tropical fruit with a sweet hint of sandalwood T: Bitter, pithy, sweet and woody all at once. Tart stone fruit and bitter grapefruit dominate. M: Soft but prickly carbonation, smooth oaty texture and no hop burn. O: Not earth-shaking but a very nice hazy pale.

3 week old pint can A: Poured clear mahogany reddish brown with a tall light tan head. Long retention and sheet lacing. S: Light aroma of mainly toffee, toast and green herbs. T: A bit sweeter than the nose with toffee and caramel leading into dry toasted bread and herbal hops that linger. M: Medium body with soft carbonation and smooth texture. O: Nicely balanced with herbal hops. Not too sweet. Pretty good!

3 month old pint can A: Crystal clear pale brassy gold with big bubbles and a short head that held up fairly well. S: Very nice aroma of grain, bread, wood, hay and herbs. T: Surprisingly tart and fruity up front with prominent apple notes giving way to grass, hay, herbs and light toast. M: Crisp, dry, clean and light with active carbonation. O: Not in your face except maybe for the fruity aspect but there's lots of subtle flavor. Tasty, clean and refreshing. Very good!
