Associated Venue: Ass Clown Brewing Company
Established in 2009
My name is Matt Glidden and I am the founder of Ass Clown Brewing. I grew up on a dairy farm in Addison, Vermont. That hard work ethic and my life experiences have led to the founding of Ass Clown Brewing.
We believe in making a product that is NOT based off of a profit
model, but uses the best local organic ingredients (when available).
We also believe it is important to know what is in the beer you drink and that it is made in an environmentally responsible way. Ass Clown Brewing strives to be a "green" brewing company that uses alternative energy and finds alternative uses for brewing waste. For example, our warehouse will have recycled items, lights, furniture and equipment.
We also focus on using local ingredients. We grow our own hops. As we grow we will be looking for North Carolina hop growing farms, malting farms, and malting farms, spices and fruits.

Unexpected tap at Bull City Ciderworks in Cary. Hazy pale. Hardliey any nose. Big giant bitter commencement on the tongue. Flat. Killer IPA. Could be an impy double IPA. Brutal middle. Such a negative nellie bastard. There, you have it. I won't be able to taste anything else for quite a while. Glad I did this last for my tasting session. ruined my taste buds.

The rumors are very nice classic brown but the flavors are so overpowered by the habanero peppers that you get nothing else really. I like hot peppers and this is ridiculous. It's kind of like a hot pepper slurry tempered with brown ale. would be great to make tacos or pork or something with. Not so much to drink.

First of all we're just starting off on the wrong foot when you name the beer winter lager and in the description it says it's an ale right on the label. So it's a cinnamon blonde beer and that's about it.

Doesn't see it on the label but it's a hoppy pale logger. Roma's are fresh lightly citrus hops with some pale malt. Flavors are like nose, Nice balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Slightly sweet citrusy finish with good body. Nice beer.

6 week old pint can A: Poured very clear pale gold but with a thick swirl of sediment and a loose half inch of beige foam that fell fairly quickly. S: Muted scent of wafer cookies, sweet citrus and tropical fruits. T: Brash and moderately bitter citrus hops feature zest and light pith with tart lemon lime pulp towards the very dry woody end. M: Strong carbonation, light body and clean dry finish. Crushable. O: Fairly simplistic and a bit thin but quite tasty and refreshing.
