About
A small brewery in Cornelius, North Carolina that specializes in unique and bold flavors.

My name is Matt Glidden and I am the founder of Ass Clown Brewing. I grew up on a dairy farm in Addison, Vermont. That hard work ethic and my life experiences have led to the founding of Ass Clown Brewing.

We believe in making a product that is NOT based off of a profit
model, but uses the best local organic ingredients (when available).

We also believe it is important to know what is in the beer you drink and that it is made in an environmentally responsible way. Ass Clown Brewing strives to be a "green" brewing company that uses alternative energy and finds alternative uses for brewing waste. For example, our warehouse will have recycled items, lights, furniture and equipment.

We also focus on using local ingredients. We grow our own hops. As we grow we will be looking for North Carolina hop growing farms, malting farms, and malting farms, spices and fruits.

Bomber shared by a friend. Hazy orange-amber, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of lemon, buttery doughy malt, spoiled milk. Weird. The taste is pithy lemon, wheat, spice. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.

Location: Draft at Revolution Pizza, 2/18/15

Aroma: Big sweet aroma, heavy toffee dominates the coffee/roasted notes
Appearance: The pour is dark brown in color with a lighter brown head
Flavor: The flavors come as rather sweet, heavy toffee as well, light roast for balance
Palate: The body is medium, somewhat sticky, and has a decent drinkability overall
Overall Impression: This one is a little too sweet for my personal tastes, but it isn't a bad beer by any means. Definitely a solid effort and a drinkable beer, just not a favorite for me. My first Ass Clown beer, I'd like to try more from these guys.

On tap @ @$$. Pours a murky reddish orange appearance with a thin head. Starbucks caramel apple spice drank aroma but not as good. Twangy and a bit acetic. Lots of red apple and cinnamon. Gross.

On tap @ @$$. Pours a deep brown, cloudy appearance with a brown head. Licorice, roasty, ashy aroma. Heavy anise in the flavor. A touch of spice. No jalapeño offered. Not sure I have a big enough palate for this big boy beer. Crisp dry lingering salty chocolate covered jalapeño finish.

On tap @ @$$. This appears to be some kind of pale ale / stout hybrid with some fucken a bronus sea salt. Cheers! Pours a hazy dark orange appearance with a light brown head. Light chocolate, slightly herbal aroma. Yep, some sea water offered. Tangy, burnt malty, weird fruity, salty flavor. Wat¿
