Description
Definitive Brewing was formed in 2017 when we came across lightning in a (beer) bottle. After months of planning, we were introduced to our now Director of Brewing Operations, and found an ideal location, all in a single week. Our investment group is made up of friends and family all with ties to Lake Cobbosseecontee in Manchester, ME. After 6 months of tireless efforts to transform an old scaffolding company into a production brewery and tasting room, we opened May 19, 2018 on the legendary Industrial Way.

After two years of operation in Portland, our team chose to open a second tasting room on May 22nd, 2020 in Maine's southernmost town, Kittery in the heart of the shopping district. Kittery is pillar in Maine's food and beverage scene, and the opportunity to become part of this phenomenal town was one that we could not pass up.

At Definitive Brewing we strive to provide a memorable tasting room experience for all of our customers. This is culminated by our wide variety of beers, including our Kolsch (Contee), Session Ales, IPAs, Stouts and Sours! Thank you for your continued support, and we hope to see you soon!

Draught @ Fool's Gold (12/9/19). Extremely hazy bright yellow with small foamy off-white head, apricot-pineapple-mango aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter apricot-mango-pineapple-citrus peel taste, somewhat thick body, long medium bitter finish. Very enjoyable DIPA.

Pint canned on 11/22/2019. Aroma is buttered graham cracker and Marshmallow. Odd. Flavor has very slight berry with the graham cracker more obvious than I thought it would be. Lots of lasting marshmallow. Hard to call this balanced with so much sweetness.

Can. A almost clear orange color. Pineapple, coconut, and sugar. Yippee!!! More lactose. NOT ! Honestly folks, I know it is a brewing trend to use milk sugar. BUT can we please stop putting lactose in sours and IPAs styles. Please?!?

Aroma and flavor or a mirror of each other. White grapes, straw, citrus. Moderately bitter, some juicy texture. Pretty nice hop blend. Mostly balanced although bitterness gets stern as it warms.

Pours hazy mango into a shaker. Bright white soapy head with medium retention recedes leaving gloppy spider lacing. Dusty citrus aromas. Soft with sourdough and bitter orange peel upfront turning to hot apricot in the lasting finish.

Fresh can. Aroma shows grass, grapefruit peel, milled grain. The tastes is a exactly as the nose with mild pine. Soft mouthfeel that ends very dry. Pretty good as they have had time to dial this in. (Previously didn’t rate it at the brewery)
