0.33L bottle, almost no head, clear light brown to dark red colour, malty aroma with oxidised notes and a hints of nuts, flavour of bread, barnyard and candy sweetness with hints of dark chocolate and cognac, lond sweet and a little sour aftertaste. Sweetness a little too dominating but still quite a good brew.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Clear golden color with a medium, slowly-diminishing white head. Aroma of some bready/crackery malt, light graininess, corny and sugary notes and some subtle hoppiness. Sweetish malty flavor, a bit too sweet, with some graininess and a slightly drier finish. Light to medium-bodied. Drinkable but nothing more

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear dark amber color with a thin creamy offwhite head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of faint chocolate and roasty notes with a tinny hop note. The taste is bitter leafy hops and faint chocolate malts. Watery and thin. Definitely needs improvement.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a huge soapy yellow-white head that lingered and produced some lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty with undertones of must and chalk. The flavor was dryish and malty with touches of cardboard, chalk and must and a light vague tangy fruitiness underneath. The finish was medium length dryish and tangy. Medium body. Eh.

12 ounce bottle, 2009 vintage, from the Gettysburg location. Pours a dark brown color with not much of a head. The aroma is dark and malty,... toffee, dark fruits, soy and chocolate. The taste is toffee, leafy hops with some bitterness, nutty notes, cherries, chocolate and dark fruits. Full bodied, with a very mild lingering bitterness. Pretty nice.
