Dark red pour. Flavour mostly has malt, with thyme more prominent than blackberry. FInishes with some sourness. Kind of an average, gimmicky beer. A little bit spicy on finish. Cask Days 2013.

A reddish copper ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a sweet fruity malt with light off notes, meat, light thyme and herbs. In mouth, a weird mix of sour berries, thyme, mint, not bad but I’ve seen better. Cask Days 2013.

On tap. It pours a lightly hazy, golden body and a small, white head leaving some lacings. Malty nose, mostly, but there’s also some fruityness going on. All weak. The same goes for the flavor, where there’s also some bitterness, but in my opinion, not enough. Ok, so the bitterness balances the sweetness, but it’s not very bohemian in any way actually. Medium body with a decent level of carbonation. Decent indeed, not very Bohemian, but sure better than your average pale lager. 130703

Bottle, 341ml. A brown one, topped by a dense, off-white to beige head of moderate size. Caramel, tending towards toffee in the aroma. Not butterscotch, but borderline. The same goes for the flavor, it’s also equally boring and uninteresting. Super smooth on the palate, although a bit thin. I hope for a real cream ale when ordering this one, just for the tick, so I got sort of disappointed in that way, but even though it’s very boring and one tracked, it’s sure a drinkable beer. Can’t imagine I’ll have another one though. 130703

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear brown with little head. Aromas of grain and malt. Sharp rye flavor. Not very impressive.

Okay wheat style look and smell, but needs more head and a stronger profile on the nose. Highly drinkable but not memorable - lacking complexity, it went down well in a bar but didn’t linger on the tongue. Medium finish. Just okay.

Draft - Grains with malt backbone. Malty with some cereal. Amber with a thin head. Refreshing and decent. Update - Grainy with some esters. Not as good as before which is saying very little.

Part of a new series apparently inspired by various bands. Of course I’m a fan of You Say Party! so why wouldn’t I want to try out this new brew? Has an okay head and a brown-amber body with no visible carbonation. Aroma is wet malty caramel with a soft hint of hops at the end. Flavour is some intense hoppiness well balanced by barley notes. Dry finish. Good balance on this one, not too heavy and it makes a great session beer.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with medium head. Aromas of grapefruit and malts. Flavors of resin and malts with notes of pine and other bitter hops. Indeed, a mix of an English bitter and a Northwest IPA. Heavier on the later. OK but there is better stuff out there.
