Dark brown. The aroma has is nutty and coffeeish. The taste is strongly coffeeish, smooth and balanced by ample sweet malts. A well-balanced example.

Sampled at 7.7c/45.5f. Bomber bottle found in the fine fighting city of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Pours a beautiful gold-copper with just a hint of carbonation and a decent head. Soft aroma of brown sugar and hops. Flavour is orange and hops; lots of citrus and fruitiness on this one. Okay palate. Nice taste, highly drinkable, a good choice if you’re in the area but please don’t fly out to Surrey just to try it.

Hazy pale blond color. Mild, breadish aroma. Sweetish and smooth mouthfeel in the front, drier and lightly nutty in the end; low bitterness. Bland and boring.

Draught @ St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, BC
Pours orange with a small sticky head. Aroma has notes of malts and hops. Tastes like a proper English bitter: slightly watery and hoppy taste with notes of fruits. Finish is bitter and fruity. Okay, quite well balanced session beer.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours hazy orange amber with an off-white head.Aroma of English malt, wood, caramel and bitter hops. FLavour is quite intense: a wallop of English-style hops, some caramel but with little sweetness, wood, with an intensely bitter aftertaste (done very tastefully). Surprisingly very enjoyable.

650mL bottle, pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma is heavy on roasted malts, burnt espresso and potent hops. Flavour begins with heavy espresso beans, burnt / roasted malt, finishing with a potent hoppiness. Well done CDA.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, roasted malt, caramel, and sweet malt, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a dark brown with a reddish hue and a beige head. Dry hard roast coffee aroma - a little chili-like - with a beige head. Medium body, some hard roast but also quite a metallic touch. A little vanilla and ashes. Ends dry. A little too thin to support the roast. 080411
