On tap at Hog’s Apothecary. It pours a dark ruby red/brown color with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is malty with soem caramel, toffee, molasses, cherry and orange with some light leathery funk. Whoa. The flavor is smooth and leathery with cherry, treacle and molasses. A little toffee and funk. Wow. This is potent but light on the palate and finishes on a light roasted notes. Complexity galore, but still drinkable. Need more.

On tap at Hogs Apothecary. I believe this one was listed at below 4% ABV. Like 3.8% or something like that. It pours a very dark brown/black color with a khaki head. The aroma is rich with bready malt. Hint of treacle. The flavor is thin, and heavily roasted. A little notes of cola, but not sweet. A little bit astringent on the palate. Ashy, smoky tobacco in the finish. Medium bodied considering the low ABV, but still comes across as a touch watery with all the dark malts. I probably would have liked it better at a more standard gravity for the style.
