[ As De Natte Gijt Gijtebok (American Oak) ].Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted - chocolate, dark malt, oak - smoke, light earthy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, oak - smoke, roasted - chocolate, tobacco, light earthy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in December 2018. Slightly hazy, amber with a very thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, a bit roasty aroma of tonka beans, caramel, honey, coffee and some cocoa. Quite sweet, malty, slightly bitter, a bit roasty taste of caramel, honey, lots of tonka beans, coffee and some cocoa, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit roasty finish. Almost full-bodied, oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Nice beer if you like tonka beans, I still prefer my Stouts dark.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Pigs Ear 2018. Pours lightly hazy pink-orange with a frothy white head. Fairly sweet, has doughy wheat bread, light berry tang, vague ripe citrus, low bitterness, background yeast. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, more ripe berries, yeast, dough. Basic but alright.

F: thin, off-white, quick gone. C: amber, hazy. A: nice smoked tones, smoked meat, bit honey, fruity. T: malty base, a lot of nice smokiness, smoked meat, bit caramel, fruity, decent long lasting bitterness, smoked IPA and good balanced, medium body and low carbonation, I like it, 33cl bottle from Beerwulf webshop.

F: huge, egg-white, long lasting. C: deep gold, hazy. A: orange, tangerine, grapefruits, tropical fruits, caramel, mango, lychee, bit spicy. 0.33 l bottle from 'De Bierboutique', best before July 2018, cellared for over two years. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, fairly smoky, medicinal, gently roasty aroma of peat, iodine, dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee and some licorice. Moderately sweet, malty, gently bitter, very smoky-medicinal and fairly roasty taste of massive peat, iodine, dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice and a touch of red berries, followed by a long, rather roasty-bitter, extremely smoky-medicinal, minimally tart finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. I don't think I've ever had a beer as smoky-medicinal as this one, it's a real challenge. A bit less would have been more but it's not bad at all, just a bit too much for me.

Fles gedeelt door Roelzie1986, geprobeerd met KoenvD. Het is een troebel roodbruin bier met een dun beige schuim. Het heeft een moutige en fruitige geur. De smaak is fruitig, druiven achtig en wat moutig.
