22/IX/18 - sample @ Borefts Bierfestival Day 2, BB: n/a - (2018-1463) Thanks to the international Ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!

Clear dark brown to almost black beer, no head. Aroma: lovely stuff going on here, nice roast, chocolate, dried fruits, caramel, sweetish impression. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: alcohol, very alcoholic! Bitter, a very harsh roast, some tannins, coffee, charcoal. Aftertaste: bitter, dry, alcohol, dried fruits, hoppy, more roasted notes, a bit medicinal. Not as great as I would have hoped from the smell...

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, hay, some mocha, caramel, hint of vanilla. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, malty, some chocolate, hoppy. Aftertaste: dry finish, smoky touch, some peat? (possible, as I now read it's a smoked rye bock) Alcoholic, roasted, dry and bitter finish.
